  • Customers are not charged for travel time unless materials are collected en route (maximum of 30 minutes).
  • Unless you tell us at the time you enter into the contract that you’re acting on behalf of someone else, you’ll be personally responsible for paying us for the work we do.
  • If payment for our services is not made in full by the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest on the overdue amount. Interest will be charged at 4% above the Barclays Bank PLC base lending rate, calculated from the date payment was due until the amount is fully paid — whether this is before or after any court judgment.

All fixed-price contracts are carried out for the agreed quoted sum only, ensuring full transparency and no hidden extras. Once quoted, the amount covers the complete scope of works, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Sometimes, after we start work and begin exposing areas such as walls or floors, we may uncover faults or issues that were not visible or known before the work began. In such cases, we may find that:

1. Additional work is needed that wasn’t included in our original estimate;

and/or
2. Extra materials are required to complete the job; or
3. You ask us to carry out extra work or supply additional materials.

If this happens, we’ll always let you know and get your approval before proceeding with any extra costs.
If you choose not to go ahead with the additional work or costs, we may stop the job at that point. You’ll only need to pay for the work and materials provided up to that stage.

  • Most quotes are free of charge, including boiler replacements and bathroom installations.
  • Where investigative work is required to diagnose hidden issues, this time will be billed at the standard rate.
  • Once any trace, access, or repair work has commenced, it is considered billable work, irrespective of whether an additional quotation is subsequently provided.

Parking & Congestion Charge is a real and unavoidable cost for service companies in London. To remain transparent and fair:

  • Parking is charged separately (unless included in a fixed-price quote).
  • This ensures lower hourly rates for all clients.
  • Customers with off-street, permit, or free parking benefit directly.
  • All fixed-price works include parking.

We appreciate any parking advice or permits customers can offer — it helps us keep your costs low and avoid unnecessary fines.

We aim to make payment simple and convenient. We accept:

  • Debit
  • Bank Transfers
  • Cash or Cheque
  • Credit Cards Payments by credit card are accepted for amounts up to £500, unless otherwise agreed in advance, due to associated processing charges.

For non-account customers, payment is due upon completion and receipt of invoice, unless pre-arranged with our office.
Account facilities are available by prior agreement.
All work is completed in accordance with Atlantic’s Terms & Conditions.

Your Responsibilities

  • To help us carry out the agreed works safely, efficiently, and without delay, you must ensure we have safe and unobstructed access to the property and a suitable working environment. Please inform us in advance if the property is listed, located within a conservation area, or subject to any restrictions that could affect the proposed works.
  • You are responsible for obtaining, at your own expense, any necessary permissions or approvals before we start — such as planning permission, building control approval, or consent from landlords or neighbours — and for providing information on any known risks, hazardous materials, or hidden services like drainage, pipework, or electrical wiring.
  • A working mains power supply and clean water supply must be available for our use, and unless otherwise agreed, free and convenient parking or parking permits should be arranged.
  • Once any goods have been delivered to your property or the agreed delivery point, they become your responsibility (whether or not installed) and should be insured until payment is made in full.
  • If these responsibilities are not met and this causes delay or additional costs, we may charge you for those costs or, if access cannot be arranged, end the contract in accordance with the termination clause.
  • If we issue a Gas Warning Notice under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, you are responsible for ensuring that any issues identified are promptly addressed by a qualified professional.

Our Responsibilities

  • We will carry out all agreed works with reasonable skill, care, and attention, using qualified and competent personnel. All works will be performed in line with relevant safety regulations, manufacturer guidance, and recognised industry standards.
  • We will take appropriate steps to protect your property during the works and will leave the working area clean and tidy upon completion. All materials and goods we supply will be of satisfactory quality and suitable for their intended purpose.
  • If, once works begin, we uncover hidden faults or unforeseen issues (for example, when exposing a wall, ceiling, or floor), we will notify you immediately and explain any necessary changes, recommendations, or additional costs before proceeding.
  • We will make every effort to complete the works within agreed timescales, but we cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control, including restricted access, unforeseen site conditions, or supplier delays.
  • If a problem arises due to our workmanship or materials, we will take reasonable steps to put it right in accordance with our warranty terms.
